A Nightmare on Elm Street: Westin Hills Stories 2 Screenplay

Summary – A Nightmare on Elm Street: Westin Hills Stories 2

Setting: Years after the original Elm Street murders, Westin Hills Psychiatric Hospital has been reopened under new management to study dream disorders and trauma survivors.

Jacob Krueger, now a young adult, has been struggling with violent nightmares and blackouts. He’s unaware—or in denial—that he’s the son of Freddy Krueger and Alice Johnson (from Dream Master and Dream Child).

The Arrival at Westin Hills

Jacob is admitted to Westin Hills after a violent outburst during a nightmare therapy session. Doctors think he’s suffering from inherited trauma from his mother’s institutionalization.
He meets other patients, all of whom share a connection through their dreams — recurring visions of a boiler room, a child’s song, and a burned man with knives for fingers.

A new psychiatrist, Dr. Marion Bishop, tries an experimental dream therapy, reusing parts of the old Hypnocil project. She believes she can suppress Freddy’s influence through guided lucid dreaming.

What Happens Next

During a group dream experiment:

  • The patients are drawn into a shared nightmare, where Freddy’s presence begins to merge with Jacob’s psyche.

  • Freddy appears weaker, feeding on Jacob’s inner turmoil, trying to convince him that he’s not a victim but his heir.

  • Jacob begins to manifest Freddy’s powers inside the dream world — reality bending, knife-hand illusions, and control over fire.

The twist is that Freddy isn’t fully resurrected yet — he’s possessing Jacob’s subconscious, using him as a vessel to return physically.
By the third act, Jacob must choose:

  • Resist Freddy, sacrificing his sanity to keep him imprisoned in the dream realm.

  • Or accept Freddy, becoming the new Dream Demon.

A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET: WESTIN HILLS STORIES 2

Written by: Kalifornia Jani [Fictional/Fan Treatment — Scene by ChatGPT]

INT. WESTIN HILLS PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL – NIGHT

Rain lashes against the tall, iron gates of WESTIN HILLS, its faded sign flickering like a dying pulse.
Inside, fluorescent lights hum. The sterile corridors echo with distant cries and the faint buzz of electricity.

NURSE HAYES (40s) wheels a gurney through the hallway.
On it lies JACOB KRUEGER (20s) — pale, restrained, sweat beading on his forehead.
His eyes flicker beneath closed lids, trapped in a dream.

DR. MARION BISHOP (30s, calm but haunted) walks beside the gurney, clipboard in hand.

DR. BISHOP
What’s his status?

NURSE HAYES
Third episode this week. Screaming about fire... said someone was calling his name.

They stop in front of ROOM 237 — DREAM THERAPY UNIT.
A metal door hums as the electronic lock disengages.

INT. ROOM 237 – CONTINUOUS

The room is cold. A glass observation wall looks into a dim chamber lined with old Hypnocil equipment — a relic from the original experiments.

Jacob’s body jerks. His breathing grows shallow.

DR. BISHOP
(softly, to herself)
Just like his mother...

She injects a mild sedative. Jacob’s trembling slows... then stops.

His eyes snap open.

JACOB’S POV – DREAM WORLD

He’s suddenly standing in the boiler room, steam hissing through rusted pipes.
Chains dangle from the ceiling.
Somewhere in the darkness, a familiar rasping laugh echoes.

FREDDY (O.S.)
Welcome home, kid...

Jacob spins around — nothing there. The shadows move like smoke.
He catches a glimpse of a mirror — his reflection grins back at him... but it’s Freddy’s face.

BACK TO REALITY

Jacob thrashes violently on the bed. Monitors flatline, then spike.
Dr. Bishop hits the intercom.

DR. BISHOP
Code blue! Get restraints — now!

But the lights flicker, screens distort — static showing flashes of fire and screaming children.

The nurse rushes in — and freezes.

Jacob’s restraints are burned through, melted metal curling like wax.
He sits upright, eyes empty — whispering:

JACOB
He’s... in me now.

CUT TO:
The hallway monitor outside flickers on its own — a grainy image of Freddy’s silhouette reflected in the glass.

FADE OUT.

The Shared Dream

INT. WESTIN HILLS – DREAM LAB – NIGHT

A week later.
The lights are dim. The hum of machines fills the air.
Dr. Bishop stands before a group of six patients — each scarred by trauma, each trembling with exhaustion.

On the wall behind her: PROJECT: ONEIRONAUT — a reactivation of the long-defunct dream therapy from the Hypnocil program.

Jacob sits among them — eyes cold, distant.

DR. BISHOP
We’re going to link your dream states — synchronized REM induction.
If we can share a dream, we can confront the trauma together.

TARA (patient, 19)
What if it’s not just trauma we find in there?

DR. BISHOP
Then we face it. And we end it.

Bishop nods to the tech operator.
Electrodes are placed. Syringes of Hypnocil derivative slide into veins.

Jacob’s pulse rises on the monitor.

INT. DREAMSCAPE – ABANDONED SCHOOL HALLWAY

The patients awaken within a shared dream.
The hallway stretches endlessly — lockers rusted, windows shattered.
A red haze bleeds through the air.

TARA
This is... this is my school. How did you—

JACOB
No. It’s mine.

They hear the scrape of metal on metal.
The sound rolls down the hall like thunder.

A locker bursts open — a tidal wave of blood and ashes floods the floor.
Inside the gory flow, Freddy’s hat drifts toward Jacob’s feet.

He stares at it — hypnotized.

FREDDY (O.S.)
Go on, kid... try it on for size.

Jacob’s hand trembles as he picks it up.
The moment his fingers touch the brim — the walls ignite.

CUT TO:

INT. WESTIN HILLS – DREAM LAB – NIGHT (REALITY)

Machines flicker wildly.
Every patient convulses — EEG spikes across the board.
Dr. Bishop shouts orders to the tech team.

DR. BISHOP
Abort sequence! Pull them out!

TECH
I can’t! They’re not responding — he’s overriding the feed!

INT. DREAMSCAPE – BOILER ROOM

The patients appear in the boiler room, chained to pipes.
Steam bursts from the valves.
Freddy steps from the shadows — only half-formed, his burned flesh crawling with embers.

FREDDY
(to Jacob)
You and me, sport — father and son.
Let’s finish what I started.

Jacob clutches his head — the metal claws forming from his own fingertips, tearing through skin and blood.

JACOB
No... I’m not you!

FREDDY
Oh, but you are.
You’re my dream come true.

Freddy lunges — but Jacob suddenly stops him, grabbing his arm mid-swipe.
The dream around them warps, responding to Jacob’s will.

The boiler room dissolves into pure darkness.

JACOB
Get... out of my head.

Freddy grins — proud, not angry.

FREDDY
That’s my boy.

Freddy’s body disintegrates into flame, the fire pouring into Jacob’s chest.

BACK IN REALITY

Jacob’s body arches — then goes limp.
All the other patients wake up screaming.

Dr. Bishop leans over him — pulse faint.

DR. BISHOP
Jacob? Can you hear me?

His eyes snap open — Freddy’s laughter echoes from his throat.

FADE OUT.

The Bleed

INT. WESTIN HILLS – OBSERVATION ROOM – DAY

Morning light filters weakly through barred windows.
Jacob sits strapped to a chair, silent.
Dr. Bishop studies him through the glass, flanked by Dr. KELLER (50s, administrator) and a security guard.

Jacob’s head is lowered. He hasn’t spoken since the dream experiment.

DR. KELLER
The board’s shutting down Project Oneironaut. The data’s corrupted — just like before.
These “shared dreams” are dangerous.

DR. BISHOP
He’s not just another patient. There’s something—something old—inside him.
The nightmares follow him.

Keller snorts, unconvinced.

DR. KELLER
We treat trauma, not fairy tales.

He leaves.
Bishop looks back through the glass — and freezes.

Jacob is staring straight at her, smiling.
His restraints are still on… but his fingers are drumming in rhythm — a slow, scraping beat.

The same one Freddy used to make with his glove.

INT. WESTIN HILLS – JACOB’S ROOM – NIGHT

Jacob sits up in bed, sweating.
The walls flicker as shadows ripple — the boundary between dream and reality blurring.

He opens his eyes — and sees a burn mark spreading across his forearm, forming the faint outline of a glove.

JACOB
(whispers)
What are you doing to me?

FREDDY (V.O.)
Just giving you a hand, son.

Jacob jolts. His reflection in the window moves out of sync with him — smiling when he doesn’t.

REFLECTION (FREDDY)
It’s my turn to dream.

INT. WESTIN HILLS – SECURITY OFFICE – SAME TIME

Cameras flicker.
Monitors show Jacob’s room — but the feed glitches, showing two figures instead of one.

The guard leans closer — static hums — then a metal claw bursts from the screen, slashing his throat in one motion.

Blood splatters across the monitors.
Each camera feed now shows Freddy’s face, laughing.

INT. WESTIN HILLS – HALLWAY

Lights explode overhead.
Sirens wail.
Jacob stumbles through the hall — alarms flashing red.

He sees Nurse Hayes cornered by a flickering silhouette — Freddy’s form phasing in and out of Jacob’s shadow.

NURSE HAYES
Jacob, help me! Please!

Jacob’s voice trembles.

JACOB
I... I can’t stop him.

Freddy’s shadow extends — slicing across her throat without touching her.
Blood sprays.
Jacob falls to his knees, horrified.

FREDDY (V.O.)
You’re doing great, kid. Just like Dad taught ya.

INT. DR. BISHOP’S OFFICE – LATER

The facility is in lockdown.
Bishop studies the files — Westin Hills archives, old Hypnocil notes, and Nancy Thompson’s reports.

She finds a faded photograph — Alice Johnson holding a young boy: Jacob.

DR. BISHOP
(realizing)
Oh my god... Freddy’s bloodline.

A whisper crawls through the office vents.

FREDDY (V.O.)
You should’ve stayed out of family business, doc.

The lights flicker. Her reflection smirks at her.

The window SHATTERS — black smoke pours in.

INT. WESTIN HILLS – BASEMENT – NIGHT

Jacob runs through the lower levels — the old boiler chambers long sealed off.
He stumbles into the darkness... and finds the original boiler room, still intact, still warm.

A lullaby hums from the shadows:
“One, two, Freddy’s coming for you...”

Jacob turns — and Freddy steps out of the dark, half him, half Jacob.
Their faces flicker between the two — father and son, mirror images.

FREDDY
See? We’re not so different.
You dream death... I deliver it.

Jacob screams, slamming his fists against the metal — fire erupts from his hands.
The dream and reality have become one.

FADE OUT.

ACT III – “THE DREAMING HOUR”

INT. WESTIN HILLS – BOILER ROOM – NIGHT

The walls pulse like living flesh.
Metal groans. The boundaries between dream and reality collapse.
Half the corridors now look burned, dripping molten slag.
Half remain real — flickering fluorescent ghosts.

Jacob staggers forward, clutching his head.

JACOB
Get out of me...

FREDDY (V.O.)
Why fight it? You were born for this, Junior.
The dreams, the fear — it’s our inheritance.

Jacob screams, slamming his fist into the wall.
Fire bursts from his hand, warping the metal — the boiler awakens, belching flame.

INT. WESTIN HILLS – MONITOR ROOM – SAME TIME

Dr. Bishop rewires the Hypnocil induction array, typing frantically.
The power flickers.

DR. BISHOP
If I can sync his REM state to mine, maybe I can reach him before Krueger takes full control...

She injects herself with the serum.
Her head slumps back.

Everything goes dark.

INT. DREAMSCAPE – THE “MIND FURNACE”

Bishop awakens inside the merged dream — a vast inferno of floating metal and screaming souls.
Chains sway above molten pits.
Jacob stands at the center — half his face burned, half his own.

Freddy towers behind him like a shadow overlord, his burned flesh spreading like a virus.

FREDDY
You’re the bridge, kid.
My way out of the dream, into the flesh.

DR. BISHOP
(pleading)
Jacob, listen to me — you are not him! He feeds on your pain, not your blood!

Jacob’s eyes flicker — part brown, part glowing orange.

JACOB
Maybe I don’t have a choice.

Freddy grins, sliding his claw around Jacob’s shoulders like a proud father.

FREDDY
That’s my boy.
Time to clock in and carve out a new generation.

He thrusts the claw forward — into Jacob’s chest.
But instead of blood — light erupts.
Jacob grabs Freddy’s wrist — and turns the glove back on him.

JACOB’S POV

Flashes — memories from every victim. Every dream. Every scream.
All of them rushing through him like electricity.
Jacob’s body begins to glow.

JACOB
I’m not your son.
I’m your nightmare.

He drives the claw into Freddy’s heart.
Freddy roars, flames tearing through the dream world, the walls melting into daylight.

INT. WESTIN HILLS – BOILER ROOM (REALITY)

The blast throws Bishop to the ground.
The lights go out. Silence.

Smoke fills the air.
Jacob lies motionless — body scarred, but alive.

DR. BISHOP
(softly)
It’s over...

She kneels beside him — but his hand suddenly clamps around her wrist.
He looks up — eyes calm, human again.

JACOB
Did we... make it?

DR. BISHOP
You did.

He smiles faintly — then collapses.

INT. WESTIN HILLS – MORGUE – LATER

Jacob’s body rests under a sheet.
Dr. Bishop watches through the window, exhausted.

A nurse approaches with a clipboard.

NURSE
What should we mark under cause of death?

DR. BISHOP
(quietly)
Nightmares.

She turns away.
The camera lingers on the body bag — unmoving... then—

A faint scratching sound.
Metal on metal.
The corner of the bag twitches.

INT. DR. BISHOP’S OFFICE – NIGHT (EPILOGUE)

The clock reads 3:00 AM.
She types a report: “Case closed. Subject deceased.”

The reflection in her computer screen begins to smile on its own.
A soft, familiar chuckle escapes the speakers.

FREDDY (V.O.)
Sweet dreams, doc.

Her monitor flickers to black —
and the words “COMING SOON: WESTIN HILLS STORIES 3 – BLOODLINE” burn faintly in red.

FADE OUT.
END.
